Description: The Project Manager Program is a component of the DPER Permit Processing Initiative and seeks to provide customers with an enhanced level of customer service.

The purpose of the Project Manager is to serve permit applicants as a dependable and single point of contact, to facilitate communication between DPER and permit applicants, to improve an applicant's understanding of the permit process, and to generate fee estimates for pre-application meetings as well as the permit review process.

In addition, Project Managers are responsible for managing permit applications through the review process, ensuring that review schedules remain in line with department and State performance standards.

Finally, Project Managers monitor the hours billed at each review station, ensuring that fee estimates are not exceeded.

Although not all permit applications will be project managed, the largest and most complex applications, and those with multiple review stations, will have an assigned Project Manager.
