| Description:

To provide professional surveying and mapping services for road projects and to other clients and county agencies. Programs include: field surveying, GIS, GPS control surveying, monument preservation and repair, boundary construction project staking, litigation support, regional mapping services and documentation of King County owned land. The Survey Unit updates boundary lines; performs precise measurements of property boundaries, helps to determine road and building construction locations, settles property disputes; creates maps, and assists in construction site preparation to prevent legal disputes.
