| Description:

To manage the construction of King County's transportation facilities in the most efficient, effective, accurate, and timely manner. Services include inspecting new construction projects and projects to rehabilitate or improve existing facilities, administering contracts and their associated documentation, performing constructability reviews, managing the design and construction of an increasing number of Capital Improvement (CIP), Parks and Marine projects; maintaining communications and correspondence, reducing claims and preventing loss, and responding to the public's requests and concerns. The unit manages the Pavement Preservation Program, incorporating cost-effective rehabilitation and preservation approaches to preserve our county road inventory.
