The Biosolids Management Program is responsible for biosolids transportation, land application, research, public information, monitoring, recycling permits, market development and planning. Biosolids are recycled as a fertilizer and soil conditioner in agriculture and forestry, as compost and in research and environmental restoration projects. The program maintains diverse partnerhsips with biosolids recyclers and promotes environmental stewardship.
