Family Court Services
Family Court Services, a program of King County Superior Court, works with parents who have difficulty or confusion with regard to their children following separation, divorce and on-going parental conflicts. Most clients have family law cases pending before the Court.
Family Court Services assists in the following ways:
Evaluates circumstances and issues of concern in divorce, paternity, and domestic violence cases, where minor children are involved.
Helps families resolve conflicts and understand court procedures and expectations.
Provides information and recommendations to the Court to aid judicial decision-making.
Refers parents to community resources to resolve parenting issues and improve their ability to meet their children's needs.
Family Court Services is staffed by professional social workers with expertise in an array of child and family issues.
