Our goal is to reduce these incidences of preventable poisonings and misuse by providing information and resources to residents on proper disposal of unwanted medicines using medicine take-back. Residents can take their unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medicines to a medicine take-back, free-of-charge, located at participating pharmacies and law, enforcement offices in King County.

Properly dispose of unwanted and expired medicines by taking them to a medicine take-back location at a participating pharmacy or law enforcement office.
