Description: The purpose of waste monitoring studies is to characterize King Countys waste stream and to understand the customers who use local facilities for disposing and recycling their wastes. The Solid Waste Division has tracked the type and quantities of waste disposed in the region for more than a decade as part of its Waste Monitoring Program. Studies cover findings from waste characterizations, customer surveys, satisfaction surveys, market assessments, and special surveys.
